Mark your calendar for 3-5 September 2025, as Orientation activities kick off on campus! This is one of our most exciting events each year in UCD.
The UCD Orientation programme is designed to help you settle into college life. You will meet your classmates, connect with staff, explore the campus and learn about the services and resources available to support you during your time at UCD. We also continue to share useful information throughout your first term to support you as you adapt to college life.

What happens during Orientation?
- You'll attend your Programme Welcome where you will:
- meet your lecturers, tutors and staff in the School and College Offices.
- find out more about your course.
- get academic advice to help you finalise your choice of modules (where this applies).
- You'll meet your Peer Mentor who will:
- introduce you to a group of your classmates.
- show you key buildings including those where your lectures will take place.
- help answer your questions or identify who can help.
- You'll get your UCard (Student Card).
Most importantly, Orientation is a great opportunity to make new friends and find out more about the social side of college.
